Lesser Gull

Cepora nadina cingala  (Lesser Gull) @Erathna, Kuruwita (That frog in the background is a Nannophrys spp)

                     This is one of the rarest butterfly species in Sri Lanka and has been just as rare in the past. Subspecies is endemic to Sri Lanka. There are only a handful of records in Sri Lanka. Almost all the recent records are from Erathna, Kuruwita. Threat status CR (Critically Endangered).  Very little is known about this subspecies.
